Every year, Econsultancy surveys marketers for it’s Email Marketing Industry Census. 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of the survey. If you are looking for a quick conclusion, guess what? Email marketing is still a GREAT investment for your marketing dollars. Let’s take a look at few Charts from the survey.
Email Marketing Still Gets A Great ROI
Many clients we work with know this, but this chart pretty much says it all. 73% of those surveyed rate email as “excellent” or “good.” In fact, email outshines SEO, content marketing, paid search (PPC). Betcha’ didn’t see that coming!
Great ROI, but Email still under-budgeted
On average, Marketers are allocating just 15% of their overall budgets on email. This is actually down from 2014 by 1 point, but up by 2 points from 2015. Oddly enough, email marketing contributed 23% to the bottom line in 2016. What do you think would have happened if they would have doubled their budget? Just something to think about.
