Display Your Service Area in Google Places

We are a huge fan of Google Places (once known as Google Local). Not only is it a great way to help promote your business with photos, video, and even coupons, it also a great way to get your business listed on page one in Google search results for local searches. And now, Google Places is even better!

Now you can specify a service area in your Google Places listing. This is a great feature for small businesses to list the locations they serve. Service areas can be listed as a radius around your business location, or listed by specific cities and all points in between. Here’s how it looks in the edit view:
